This first photo was from our fishing experience up at Mike Bell's in-laws home since we weren't catching many fish up American Fork Canyon. This is what the kids came up with...

Katelyn needed a little help from her dad since the rainbow was so heavy for her... I had the biggest smile since I know this image will reappear constantly throughout her life, especially with two older brothers. Luckily for them, she hadn't reached her trash talking days cause she put the royal school on her brothers. By the way, look at Hogan...the kid loves fishing and always has. He is constantly asking his dad to go fishing, something which will become easier as they get older. Christian has hit the age where blood and guts are cool now, doesn't bother him a bit, something his mother doesn't quite understand. Anyways, the kids had a ball up there. Man, you want to talk about a fishing hole, there is no better amenities than this place. Thanks to Mike Bell for the invite!
This next photo is from working on the backhoe at Grandpa Dan's rental property. Grandpa Dan had a lot of work to do in clearing out the back yard of all the tall, huge trees that were getting old and becoming a hazard. So... he bought a tractor, wow!!! We had a lot of fun chopping down trees, pulling them over with the jeep and tractor and then pulling out the stumps.
It took Dog and Beth a few attempts at pulling out our first stumps with the backhoe but then we got the hang of it 'til Grandpa Dan cut us off. Mel found her new passion. She said if it wasn't for the rowdiness of construction, she'd be running her own backhoe operating company. Hmmm... makes me wonder sometimes.
Hogan's Baptism

Ok, the biggest happening in the Wallis household this year was Hogan's baptism. Can't believe our little Hoge took the plunge this year. Really, if it wasn't for the membership thing with baptism, there definitely wouldn't be any reason for this kid needing baptism. He definitely is the most obedient of the Dog and Beth Crew. No doubt, he's the example of our family. He was so excited to do it, he counted down the days for months. A lot of friends and family members showed up for the day. Now that he's a member, he can take part in a lot of other activities. He loves cub scouts and is now singing in the children's choir in our ward. No doubt he will be a great missionary!
What and experience this was....!!!

This year Grandpa Wallis decided to get back to work after being retired for just over a year. Don't ask us why he decided to leave the golden highways and plush motor home "
coach" resorts, but he ran for the District 10 seat, Utah House of Representatives and won!!!It was an amazing win. Going into the race he was basically down 12 points and the seat had been held by the democrats for 18 years. After overcoming obstacles and the family doing a lot of knocking on doors, he secured the win and is now awaiting the day to be sworn in at the end of January. We are extremely proud of him and know he'll be one heck of a voice for the people up in Weber County (even though we live in Utah County). Great job Dad! We're proud of you and know that you'll enjoy serving the people.
Aunt Marci is going to have a BABY!!!! Yahoo!!

Yes, Uncle Dog and Aunt Beth look forward to seeing another beautiful girl come our way, there's nothing like a baby girl. Papa Dan is going to be a changed man here shortly... not to mention mama. Oh, I'm sure she'll be well taken care of. All is well and we look forward to the day the baby arrives. Uncle Dog is especially happy since he can enjoy the baby and spoil her rotten without having to get up during the night. Ha. Ha. Can't wait!
